CEO of mBrainTrain, Serbia
Ivan Gligorijević is a passionate entrepreneur, researcher and life explorer. Previously active member of several prominent European student network associations (EESTEC, BEST), he co-organized international events that brought more than 400 foreign students to Serbia. He was the main organizer of “JobFair ’07”, biggest job fair for technical students. He was among several people to obtain the grant for Microsoft Sales Academy course in 2007. He received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, in July 2008.
In January 2009 he enrolled in the Ph.D. studies focused on advanced biomedical signal processing and in April 2013, he received the Ph.D. degree working in the Biomed group, Department of Electrical Engineering, SCD Division, KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. His Ph.D. dissertation was entitled: “Spike train discrimination and analysis in neural and surface electromyography (sEMG) applications”. In august 2012 he co-founded the hi-tech startup mBrainTrain LLC that has since received a “Mini Grant” for co-financing development of the “SMARTING” mobile neurofeedback platform from the Serbian Innovation Fund. “SMARTING” also won the “Best Serbian innovation for 2013” award. Smarting device is now present in more than 15 countries.
He is a winner of JCI Serbia Ten Young Outstanding People award for best Medical Innovation in 2013. He is currently CEO of mBrainTrain and too impatient to wait for the future.
